Escape Rooms For Kids
Thinking about bringing the kids out to play an escape room?
Here’s some tips, suggestions, and frequent questions about kids in escape rooms
-
Kids 13+ can play by themselves. They may be more successful with an adult helping out, but they are allowed to play by themselves.
If there are kids 12 years old and younger in the room, we require a participating adult in the game.*
*We do have some requests for 13th birthday parties where a few kids are 12. Typically we will allow them to play without an adult if that is your preference, but we would require an adult to stay on site during the game
-
We do not have special rates for kids, but kids 7 and younger are free with a paying adult.
-
All of the rooms are kid friendly, there is no kid-inappropriate material in any of the games.
We do have a suggested game at each location that has especially good kid perks, including a more manageable level of difficulty, search and find, hidden compartments and more!
Arvada: The Hollywood Mystery (up to 8 players)
Lakewood: The Mystic Chambers (up to 7 players)
If you have more than 7-8 players and you really want them to all play together, our Cabin in the Woods room can take up to 10 in a pinch.
-
In general, escape rooms are made with adults as the primary audience, though they are suitable for mixed groups such as families.
We do offer take home games for kids from 7-10 and 9-12, which you can buy in store.
If you’ve got young kids (under 10) who want to play an escape room by themselves, you may check out Puzzle Pirates at Golden Puzzle Room.
-
If you would like to bring a baby/toddler, you may, but you must accept full responsibility for their safety in the games. We do not recommend you bring a very young child into Path of the Gods especially, as it involves climbing/crawling, and is dark.
